ICT enabled Transformation of Manufacturing.

etranet is a consortium of national governments and agencies from 13 EU countries, working together to increase the impact of their national and regional programmes, to promote research and collaboration relating to "ICT for Traditional Manufacturing Industries".

This is part of the wider ERA-NET Scheme, which supports the cooperation and coordination of research activities in the EU, carried out at a national or regional level. The etranet programme has five main objectives.

These are: Systematic exchange of information and best practice concerning the running of participant's programmes Strategic activities between programmes and preparing for the ERA-NET expansion

• Joint activities between partners
• Trans-national research activities
• Management & dissemination of ERA-NET activities and coordination of the technical packages.
